1 – Press the green button and jump rope.
2 – Watch the counter!
Here you can jump until you get in shape!
Jumping rope is also a great way to improve your physical fitness. Additionally, it makes you less vulnerable to diseases like osteoporosis.
See how much energy you burn while jumping (measured in kilojoules). How long can you keep going? How long would you have to jump to burn the calories in a chocolate bar containing 1000 kJ?
You can jump at a steady pace. You don’t need to burn more energy by jumping faster because short, quick jumps lift your body in less time than big jumps. Jumping strengthens muscles and bones.
Did you know...
When you jump, you use six times more energy than when watching TV. The muscles in your legs, for example, have to use a large amount of energy to lift your body into the air. Additionally, you still need energy to maintain your body temperature at 37ºC.
