Plastic Recycling
It’s estimated that about 8 million tons of waste end up in the ocean every year! That’s around 15 tons of plastic (about 3 large buses) dumped directly into the sea every single minute.
This situation threatens marine biodiversity - both animals and plants - and it also affects our health through the food chain.
Did you know...
At CCVAlg, we decided to recycle plastic and give it a second life. For example, 120 bottle caps are transformed into the pots you see at the reception! This way, plastic is reused instead of ending up as trash:
1st - We separate what we collect from cafes (metal, cork, and plastic).
2nd - We sort the plastic by color and type.
3rd - We shred the plastics.
4th - We put it into molds and melt it in the oven, creating an upcycled product!
