Ria Formosa is home to over 100 bird species, which change with the seasons and the tides.
How many can you spot from the terrace?
Ria Formosa is also an important stopover for migratory birds on their long journeys. You might be lucky enough to see a migrating black stork or a peregrine falcon soaring through the sky.
If you look closely around the area, you may also spot birds like the flamingo, the common moorhen, and the Eurasian wigeon.
