Temporary Exhibition
"Exploring the Universe - A journey through astrophotography" 

This photographic exhibition is dedicated to the beauty and complexity of the cosmos. It brings together images of the Sun, the Moon, comets, galaxies and star clusters, inviting the public to discover the Universe through astrophotography, where scientific rigour meets aesthetic contemplation.

The exhibition is curated by Rita Castilho, Associate Professor and researcher in Marine Biology at the University of Algarve and CCMAR, who has been practising astrophotography since 2022. The exhibition also features the collaboration of Astrocitas, an astronomy outreach group and channel created by Raúl Hussein and Teo Palacios, and GOAAA, an Algarve-based amateur astronomy community active since 2000. Together, they promote sky observation, knowledge sharing and public engagement with astronomy.
