Vermicomposting
● Can you find the Insect Hotel?
Here you’ll also find a vermicompost, which means compost made entirely by worms.
Composting is a natural and eco-friendly way to recycle organic waste, turning it into rich, natural soil - perfect for growing plants.
This method is a great alternative to fertilizers and other chemical products, which are highly polluting.
Compost is created naturally by microorganisms like fungi (through fermentation), but also with the help of small animals such as worms, snails, slugs, and insects like millipedes, beetles, and many others!
Together, they work as a team to produce this powerful fertilizer, which we use in our garden and greenhouse - completing the composting cycle.
